I enjoy doing studies rather than
complete scenes so
that you can focus on the details of a
subject.
I have no formal training in art but have always been one to be
drawing something.
I was born in Kansas and
grew up in Oklahoma.
My paternal grandfather rode rough stock in the rodeo and being around him started my interest in horses.
My maternal grandmother was Cherokee and was on the Trail of Tears. The heritage
from that side of the family gives me my interest in Native American
culture.
I currently live in Southern California with Sue, my wife of over 30 years, and a menagerie of
horses, dogs and other pets. I have been a farrier for over 30
years.
I enjoy team roping and pleasure riding.
I find time to draw in the evenings and
on the rare
rainy days we have here in California.
